Posted by Manny Rivas on December 12th 2008 in SES Chicago 2008 | 1 comment

Michael Gray (follow him on twitter) has certainly earned his stripes in the internet marketing world. Next time you see someone yell @ Matt Cutts (Google’s affable anti-spam executive) from the audience at an SEM conference, there’s a good likelihood it’s GrayWolf.

Always buttoned down with ducks in a row, this guy goes out on a limb for the good of our community and has well-researched goods to back them up. I was pleased to chat with him @ SES Chicago this week by PocketCam Interview. Read the rest of this entry »

Thought Leaders at SES: Jim Hedger V-Interview

Posted by Manny Rivas on December 11th 2008 in Interviews, SES Chicago 2008, Video | 1 comment

Jim Hedger  is a writer, producer & broadcaster for Webmaster Radio and hosts the weekly show “Webcology.”

He is a well-known SEO consultant, head blog writer & lead copywriter for MetaMend Search Engine Marketing. After the day’s sessions, I was able to see Jim in action broadcasting the “Drunken Webmaster Roundtable” at Kitty Osheas. It was a riot!

When I sat down with Jim, he was gracious enough to share his blazing path along the SEO trail. He also revealed some embarrassing moments he’s had in live broadcast. One of these anecdotes had to do with mispronouncing one of the guests names. Wouldn’t you know it, I got to witness it first hand! Anyway, here’s my PocketCam video-conversation with the man himself. Read the rest of this entry »

This SES Chicago session, succinctly titled “SEO Tools,” was moderated by Sage Lewis, Search Engine Watch Expert & President of SageRock.com Read the rest of this entry »

The “We are what we Click: a Conversation With Bill Tancer” session at SES Chicago offered a vital discussion to shed intelligent and practical light into human Internet psyche, through the eyes of two seasoned Search Marketers.

Speakers Bill Tancer (General Manager, Global Research, Hitwise, Author of the book “Click”) and Kevin Ryan (SES Advisory Board Chair and CEO, Motivity Marketing) wasted no time in grabbing the bull by the horns as they asked “How do you bridge the gap between marketers and consumers?” Read the rest of this entry »
