Barely a month has passed since aimClear’s Manny Rivas tore up the stage at SMX Toronto, but the stars have aligned, and we’re back in beautiful Toronto! The reason? Search Engine Strategies Toronto, the northernmost outpost of this search and social marketing event series.
The online marketing industry is well represented at SES Toronto with some tech visionaries including Lee Odden (@leeodden), Mike Grehan (@mikegrehan), Bruce Clay (@bruceclayinc), Greg Jarboe (@gregjarboe), Jonathan Allen (@jc1000000), Bryan Eisenberg (@thegrok) and many more. Representing the aimClear team this go-round is our own Marty Weintraub, who’s gearing up to deliver “Killer Facebook Targeting Tactics” on Tuesday, June 14, at 3:00pm EDT. For us at aimClear, 2011 has already been a whirlwind of a year. Our Conference Road Trip has so far brought us westward to sunny San Francisco for OMMA Global, south to San Jose for SMX West, and all the way back east for Search Engine Strategies in good old New York. April is well under way, and thus continues our road trip—next stops include a special event at SEMpdx in Portland, and SMX & eMetrics in shiny Sydney, Australia. Read on for a closer look at who will be where, and a sneak peek at what they’ll be dishing up. Read the rest of this entry »

Welcome to aimClear’s coverage of #SMX West 2011! Day 1 is officially over and just like the warm, friendly 60-degree weather here in sunny San Jose, it did not disappoint– brimming with great panel discussions & tip-top presentations– among them, Location Services: The New Local Search.
Gib Olander, director of business development with Localeze; Rodney Hess, account associate with Search Influence; Jason Rupp, director of product management at Ask.com; Chris Travers, president and co-founder of UniversalBusinessListing.org and Ken Norton, senior product manager for Google were at the helm for this one. Each took turns exploring how location services like Foursquare, Gowalla, Yelp and/or mobile apps are changing the local search space indefinitely. aimClear live tweeted this session (via MoCR521)… read on for a full write-up. Earlier today, we published the second half of 44 Must-See Internet Marketing Conference Speakers– a two-part blog post that paid tribute to industry luminaries who color the conference landscape pretty with smarts, sass, and everything in between. We believe search marketers are among the most beautiful people in the world, and that mini-series was one way to give back to those who give it their all. We also believe that there’s two sides to the conference-speaker-coin, and not everything can be all sunshine and pussy cats… Read the rest of this entry »

This post continues yesterday’s post, 44 Must-See Internet Marketing Conference Speakers, Part 1. The Q1 conference schedule gets underway in earnest shortly. Soon many of us will converge on SMX West San Jose, SEMpdx SearchFest Portland, OR and Search Engine Strategies New York other niche’ conferences which include Social Insider Summit, Key Biscayne, OMMA San Francisco and PubCon South.
The speakers we recommended yesterday and those today are among my personal favorites and should not be missed. We hope the aggregate list of 44 thought-leaders will be a useful guide when trying to decide what conferences to attend and which sessions should take priority. So, without further delay, here’s part two! Read the rest of this entry »
