Another Facebook newsfeed algorithm shake up! The platform announced it will now favor original user content over publisher content. The move pushes Facebook further in the friend zone, creating an environment where Grandma wins and CNN loses. So how will publishers get stories in front of their audience? Maybe they’ll start to pay… ? We’ll see.
Since Facebook rolled out its new messenger platform, a whole lot of businesses have hopped in. Brands and businesses have launched more than 11,000 bots. In that time, developers have dished out feedback — and Facebook is listening. The platform launched a new blog for developers and a slew of new features, including ratings, quick replies and mute control.
Last year buyable pins were introduced on your mobile phone. Recently, Pinterest rolled out buyable pins on web and added a new shopping bag, where you can add things you want to buy into a cart similar to any other e-comm site. It also offers a better discover feature and a new filter option to find products from brands you like.
