Holy #SMX! Merry Morud To Speak On Paid Social In Jerusalem

jerusalem

Merry Morud, Social Advertising Director at AIMCLEAR, has landed on the other side of the world. She’s going to speaking at SMX Israel, a treasured Middle Eastern online marketing conference.

The SMX Israel agenda is comprised of a full day of sessions and keynotes for SEOs, SEMs, SMOs and affiliate marketers to swap ideas and share their expertise, all in the beautifully historic city of Jerusalem. For the past two years, Marty Weintraub represented the AIMCLEAR crew at SMX Israel, and he returned each time with only the most amazing things to say about the people he met, friends he had the chance to reconnect with, and of course, the rich history and intrigue that is Jerusalem.

Merry is a seasoned travelermerry-morud and she’s excited to speak on Sunday at 11 AM in the session, Big Content Strategies. Joined on the podium by AIMCLEAR friend Aaron Friedman of Kahena Digital Marketing, Merry will discuss how paid social amplification can extend the organic reach of finely tuned content. We marketers invest a lot of time in creating quality, well-researched, optimized with keywords content only to have it die on social channels like Facebook. Low organic reach is a content-killer, but paid amplification can make the content we worked so hard to write reach not only a much larger audience, but the right audience.

With the advent of Hummingbird, we all know that Google now has the ability to understand social signals. Facebook’s announcement that they have pulled the plug on organic reach reiterates the need for perfecting your brand’s paid amplification tactics. These recent developments make it imperative for marketers to utilize paid tactics in Facebook, Twitter and Google+ to not only extend your content’s reach, but to improve SEO.

Furthermore, knowing what type of content your social communities are into is necessary to give your content traction, grow wings and spread throughout the big, bad world wide web. Thus, Merry will also share some new tools and tactics for dissecting your community’s interests, preferences and personalities.

From mining Google+ hashtags, to targeting publications, journalists, bloggers and reporters on paid platforms to generate links, to real world case studies, Merry will not leave a rock unturned. Listen and learn how real brands utilized paid amplification to sail through Panda and Penguin updates, and prepare to have your mind blown as Merry blows the lid off how paid amplification can impact your page’s quality score.

If that’s not enough to whet your appetite, we don’t know what is.

Thank you to Barry Schwartz, Executive Editor of the Search Engine Roundtable and News Editor of Search Engine Land, for putting on what promises to be another successful SMX Israel!

For everyone attending SMX Israel in a few short days, we hope you have the best time! Be sure to set some time aside to explore all that Jerusalem has to offer. For all of you following along from home, Merry will be tweeting some highlights from Israel, so don’t fret. Shalom!
