It’s here, it’s here, it’s finally here! #SMX Advanced kicks off tomorrow, and we’re all about to hop a plane to Seattle. So many awesome sessions and presentations await, not to mention many fabulous networking events, the chance to kick it with industry thought-leaders and friends, old and new. Before doing any of that that, though, we couldn’t well get away with not informing you of our speaking and blogging agenda for the week! That would be… très inconsidéré!
Read on for a closer look at when aimClearians Marty Weintraub and Merry Morud will storm the stage, and what sessions Lauren Litwinka (hey, that’s me!) plans to attend and *flexes fingers* live-tweet / blog.
Day 1 – Tuesday, June 5 – 9:00 am
Hardcore Social Tactics (#smx #11C)
Fueled with copious amounts of caffeine, Marty will start the day tomorrow bright and early along with @Vince Blackham, Brent Csutoras, and Monique Pouget (led by moderator Greg Finn and Q&A moderator Eric Enge). The panel plans to “break down hard-core tactics for building buzz, growing audiences and driving traffic with social media,” among other things. Remember, kids – this is Advanced! That means advanced marketing methods for your favorite channels a la Facebook and Twitter, as well as darling social sites Reddit and Pinterest.
Day 1 – Tuesday, June 5 – 11:00 am
Surviving Personalization With Bing & Google (#smx #12A)
Joined by Rhea Drysdale and @Aaron Friedman, Marty will continue into Day 1 talkin’ bout “new normal” search results, which we all know (RIGHT?) are personalized thanks to search history, location and perhaps most fascinating of all, social interactions. The panel, led by moderator Danny Sullivan and Q&A moderator @Mark Munroe, will dissect Google to give a clearer picture of how Google+ affects its new Search Plus Your World and how Bing leverages Facebook activity to generate Liked Results.
Day 1 – Tuesday, June 5 – 3:30 pm
Hardcore SEO & Social Power Tools (#smx #14C)
aimClear’s Merry Morud will share her favorite SEO and social media with the crowd, ranging from free to enterprise-level, along with fellow panelists Rhea Drysdale and Michael King. Moderator Monica Wright and Q&A Moderator Vince Blackham will lead the trio.
Here’s a look at the sessions I’ll be at over the next two days, many of which I sincerely hope to live-tweet and blog right here on the new, totally sexy aimClear blog.
