New York, New York! Man, we just love that city. The sights, the sounds, the smells… yes, we can’t seem to stay away from the Big Apple for too long. Every six months or so we get a serious itchin’ for some Chinatown dim sum, Katz’s Deli knishes, midtown food-truck Halal, and, oddly enough, online marketing brain-chow. We ate our fill in March for SES NY. Luckily, next month marks the east coast edition Search Marketing Expo, aptly named #SMX East, where we’ll stock up on the goods once more.
The aimClear team is set to return to New York on September 12, represented this go-round by Marty Weintraub, Manny Rivas, Merry Morud and me, Lauren Litwinka. We’ll kick off the week with our Facebook Marketing Intensive Workshop, and then dive into the conference head first. Manny and Marty will both storm the stage speaking, and Lauren live-tweeting and blogging like a madwoman.
Marty will be speaking on the Facebook Ads, Meet Search Ads and Beyond Rankings: Actionable SEO Reports Your Boss Will Love sessions (Day 2 @ 5:oo pm EST & Day 3 @ 12:45pm EST respectively), while Manny tackles Video Search Success Stories (Day 3 @ 9:00-10:15am EST). Read on for a closer look at these sessions, Lauren’s coverage schedule as well as the lo-down on our Facebook Marketing Intensive Workshop. Read the rest of this entry »

As fall conference season is upon us and our team prepares to travel the world speaking, blogging and studying (OK… drinking great wine), I can’t help but ruminate on the inspiring array of fantastic established and future thought-leaders with whom aimClear would love to work. Yep, aimClear is hiring passionate marketers and/or seeking to acquire a small PPC/SEO company to join our quickly growing dream-team in Minnesota. This is not just another SEO or PPC job.
Glassy-eyed and Pollyanna, we’ve constructed a list of marketers we would clone, relocate and adopt… given the chance. Sadly, the professionals on this roster are “taken” with jobs they love, and most live in another city. Still, each represents qualities we covet.
If you’re not on the honor roll, that does not mean we don’t think you rock. You probably do rock. For sure there are dozens of other dream-team-members we know about and hundreds of SEO and PPC thought-leaders and specialists we’ve not had the pleasure of even meeting. As aimClear fans out at conferences this fall all over planet earth, please make yourself known. If you just can’t wait to meet and are interested in being cloned, contact us here. If you’re on the list, feel free to download the “aimClear Wants To Clone Me” badge and display it proudly on your blog. No need to link back. Read the rest of this entry »

#SES, beloved shorthand for Search Engine Strategies, is one of those industry events that holds a special place in our calendar’s heart. Last week, scores of professionals and luminaries from all walks of the online marketing industry ventured to the Moscone Center in sort-of-sunny San Francisco for the west coast arm of the mainstream conference and expo. For three days, attendees soaked up killer tactics, tips and takeaways from a colossal swath of case studies, site clinics, keynotes and of course, casual shop talk during session intervals.
Weren’t able to make it this year? No worries. From the aimClear team, Erica Sendros, Manny Rivas and yours truly, Lauren Litwinka, were a part of that crowd, tweeting and blogging like mad men. And mad women. Noteworthy coverage poured in from other reputable resources across the web. We’ve culled 55 definitive coverage posts from #SESSF 2011 and shared them here, should you find yourself with 183 hours of some spare time. Whether you’re looking for high-level takeaways or end-to-end session transcriptions, read on. Read the rest of this entry »

Welcome back to aimClear’s coverage of #SESSF 2011! The ever elusive PPC Quality Score, often regarded as enigmatic a mystery right up there with the ancient sphinx, has attracted, baffled, bewildered, and haunted many a marketer since the dawn of paid search. Day 3 of Search Engine Strategies, San Fran edition brought about the Ads in a Quality Score World session, where moderator Matt Van Wagner led panelists Fred Vallaeys from Google, Paul Corkery from Microsoft, and Craig Danuloff, Founder of Click Equations and author of the bookQuality Score in High Resolution, who dropped some serious Quality Score knowledge. If SES sessions had a Quality Score, this one would certainly be a 10. And I’m thinking of ways to weight those variables

Welcome back to our ongoing coverage of #SES San Francisco! A true content wizard, Lee Odden’s (@leeodden) Content Marketing Optimization session reminded the audience that content can make or break your website. When you’re looking to optimize your site, you have to take everything from rich media to web pages to digital assets to PDF documents to both created and shared content into account. Always remember: “If it’s searchable, it’s optimizable.”
With so many people looking to break into the already well-established online marketing realm, brand marketers have to go after the Holy Grail of content marketing optimization – that is to say, they must be efficient and improve the impact of their SEO and social media efforts. aimClear live-tweeted this session via @ericasendros Keep on reading for the real deal.
