Is there any particular reason you would host the video on YouTube beyond bandwidth reasons? Thanks.

Interesting and informative article. I never really knew this would be possible as I try to avoid duplicate content when I write articles. I'll bookmark this article for future reference. Thanks for taking the time to share this information.

This is a good way in SEO. But I have some doubts here. Is it really a white hat technique?

@kelvin newman: Yes, the slideshare community is a good place to reuse different versions of the same content for multiple indexed instances.

@:ביטוח מקיף: Thanks for taking the time to comment in light of your feelings. I think this is a case of semantics, actually. So far as I go if a client can take content, quickly re-purpose it (not making up any new ideas or words) and get it indexed a second time...we'll take it :). Thanks again. It's those who voice differing opinions that make a blog a community and I'm grateful that you stopped by.

I think more SEO's should be doing this type of thing, I've had lots of success recently taking what would be a fairly text light blog post and turning it into a presentation for use of Slideshare. Not exactly the same as this example but I think taking using a different medium to what people would expect/are used to is a pretty good way to be link worthy and stand out.

I was kind of dissappointed because transcribing a video to text and posting video and text are two different things, and are not considered duplicate content. Because of the method the information is delivered. Duplicate content is posting the same article on any sites and getting it indexed
