I just joined Sphinn earlier this afternoon (Thanks to Andy Beard, yay!) and submitted my first article. You’re right, it’s a totally newb attempt at linkbait, but at least I did put some effort into it.

Right now, it feels a little like a chance to get into a community and build a reputation early. I’ve already read too much about how the 80/20 rule applies at other social bookmarking websites. The top 20% of submitters are responsible for 80% of the content. No fun for the rest of us.

Thanks for the heads up on the link. It’s fixed. Linkbait has been around as long as there have been humans attempting conversation. It’s just now on the Internet and is called linkbait.

With the amount of talk about linkbait in the industry, there should really be a specific category for its discussion on Sphinn

In many respects, there is more useful content written about linkbait than Google.

I honestly don’t think I am good at linkbait - if anything, only my list of Dofollow plugins could be counted as a total success
